Competition and Timed Swimming
Organised by: Flussbad Berlin e.V. in cooperation with the Berlin Triathlon Union.
The event is expected to begin at 2:30 pm and end at approx 6 pm. We will publish a detailed schedule of the day's events, including registration times, individual heats and the award ceremony, as soon as possible prior to the event on this page.
This year, in addition to the swimming competition aimed at experienced triathletes and open-water swimmers, we are also holding a non-competitive, time-based swim for ambitious recreational swimmers.
All important information, including the registration form for participants, can be found on this page.
Getting to the Flussbad Cup
The swimming route in the Spree Canal runs approximately 1,000 metres along Museum Island. Participants will start in the water at the southern end of the Monbijou Bridge and swim all the way to a turning point just prior to the Schlossbrücke (at Lustgarten/ Unter den Linden) and back.
Both the start and finish lines will be located at the southern end of the Monbijou Bridge (Am Kupfergraben).
We strongly recommend travelling to the competition area by bike or via public transport, seeing as parking opportunities in the area are very limited. The following public transport stops will bring you closest to the event site: Friedrichstraße S-Bahn and U-Bahn station, Hackescher Markt S-Bahn station, Oranienburger Straße S-Bahn station, Oranienburger Tor U-Bahn station and the Monbijouplatz tram stop.
Important Notice
If storms or heavy rainfalls occur shortly before the competition, it is possible that the quality of the water along the swimming route will decrease significantly as a result of the discharge of mixed wastewater from the sewage system. If this is the case, the competition might have to be cancelled at the last minute.
