Our office

Beginning in March 2019, the association keeps an office with employees in part-time.

In the beginning, Flussbad only worked with volunteers. In summer 2014, a first employee could be engaged working for the association. With the increasing challenges and due to the funding by the programme "National Urban Development Projects" an office with eight employees has been installed. Since March 2019, we had to reduce our work and continue working part time on the association's goals to realise the project Flussbad Berlin.

In this position she accounts for educational mediation formats as well as the participation of the urban society in the project. In addition, coordinating our volunteers and and networking with other initiatives are part of her area of responsibility. And working with urban water is not new to her: Working as a research assistant, she has been involved in a research project on the acceptance of semi-natural rainwater management in urban areas. The interdisciplinary discussion of topics at the intersection of the environment and society characterises her academic education. Lisa completed her Bachelor in Sociology in Dresden with a Master in Geography in Freiburg.

After her Bachelor studies in Romance Languages (French, Spanish) in Freiburg, she completed her studies with a Master degree in Cultural Management and Cultural Tourism in Frankfurt (Oder).

Lisa Blum ~ Events and Planning (on parental leave)

(c) Axel Schmidt

Lisa studied Cultural Management at Potsdam University of Applied Sciences (FHP) and gained experience working on a number of projects at various art and cultural institutions in Germany and abroad. Her enthusiasm for cities and their development led her to complete a Masters Degree in Urban Design at the Technische Universität Berlin (TU) in 2018. In the summer of 2014, while still completing her studies, Lisa started working at Flussbad Berlin. Today, she knows our office from top to bottom – she started out as a coordinator and she's been responsible for the organisation of various Flussbad events since spring 2015 and supports the association to advance the planning process.

Luca Chiessi ~ Ecological Volunteer

Carsten Riechelmann ~ FLUSS BAD FILTER

(c) Dana Giesecke

Heike Witte ~ Membership Administration

(c) Juliane Flöting

Heike started working for Flussbad Berlin e.V. in January 2020. After completing a commercial apprenticeship, she worked as a freelancer in the areas of organisation, communication and sales, as well as in project and personnel management.
As a volunteer head of the swimming department for the Turnverein Waidmannslust e.V. and passionate swimming trainer, she feels a special connection to the project, because she knows very well how scarce the water areas in Berlin are for swimmers.

Heike is responsible for all matters relating to member administration and is the first point of contact for all questions regarding the membership in our association.
